Redken Hair Straightening Balm

Introducing Redken Align 12 Ultra Straight Balm.
This can be used for blow drying hair or hair straightening.
 RM60, 150 ml/5 Fl Oz

The one I use is the medium control although they do have other ranges which are:
01-05 = mild control
06-15=medium control
16-26=max control

It's a balm that strenghtens hair while straightening. When they mention at the back of the bottle about it being a humidity-resisting, frizz-controlling, long lasting, smooth, shiny, straight styles, they actually mean it. This product manages to keep they're words exactly as they state on the bottle.
What I love about this product is that it doesn't make my hair look dead flat and stick straight. I straighten my hair once every two to three days. I always make sure I use this before straightening my hair. You will notice that your hair won't be damaged from heat styling with this product. I've used this for quite a while and am sticking to it.

How to use:
For blow drying - Smoothen a small amount after (depending on hair length) towel-drying hair and blow-dry away.
For straightening - Smoothen a small amount (depending on hair length) on towel-dried hair, blow dry hair until it's completely dry, and start straightening.

Definitely worth every cent and I highly recommend this product.

Wallis Peep Toe Shoes

Wallis makes some pretty nice shoes. These are some fab shoes I got from them a few months ago. They're completely covered with black sequins all over (except the heels). They're also very comfortable to wear.

The original price was much higher but I managed to bag it for around £10-£15.

People definitely notice shoes or anything that sparkle. If you don't have the time to dress up or are simple, then opt for some sparkle. Be it shoes, accesories, a clutch, etc.

Wayne Goss - Make Up Artist

Introducing one of the, I personally think, the best make up artist's out there.

Wayne Goss

Wayne seems to know so much about make up for just about any kind of skin tone or complexion. He goes into details about make up products, how-to's, do's and dont's, etc. His videos are always packed with useful information, even the little details we tend to neglect.

I know there are many make up artists and lovers who post tons of videos online but he is a make up guru worth following. I highly recommend you check out his YouTube videos for anything and everything you need to know about make up.

You can even check out his blog
http://gossmakeupartist.blogspot.com/

Enjoy!

Toni & Guy Beach Curl Spray

So I thought I should have messy beach curls for a change since I'm dashing out the door most days and having this hairstyle isn't going to require a lot of work or time. I went out and got this thinking it was going to be really good. Don't get me wrong. The product actually works. I washed my hair and put it on but I noticed my hair got a bit sticky (although I held the spray at a good distance) and the smell was a bit too much for me to handle. I thought the smell would go away after a while but it just stuck to my hair until the next wash. I don't think it will be a problem for those who aren't sensitive to strong smells as I am.

So this is going to The Luscious' FaceBook page. I'm selling this for only RM10 (because I used it once) so grab it while it's still available.

Brown Smokey Eyes

This is what I've done with the MAC Palette I have.
It's a simple, easy to do look.

I apologize for the resolution

 I also used:
Benefit's Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer
Maybeline's Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara in Black
Revlon's ColorStay Eyeliner in Black
Maybeline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

This will all just make your eyes look dramatic and sexy.

It's not necessary to use MAC eyeshadows for this look. You may even want to try doing this look with different colours.I have tutorials of how to achieve this look on the sidebar if you want to try this look out.

Blending is key for smokey eyes!

Jimmy Choo Bag

It's essential for girls to have the perfect bag to use for any occasion, at any day.
This one is mine and I absolutely love it. My everyday things just go in it. I bought this bag because it was gorgeous and also to support Jimmy Choo, a man who was born in Malaysia, the same country I was born in.

It's big and so nice to hold..

I Love Jimmy Choo's!

Etude House Nail Polish

Another yet gorgeous nail polish from Etude House.

This one is a milky but with a light pink hue.
I used 1 coat of this polish without any top coat on.

This polish also goes on smoothly and mess-free.When I used two coats on, my nails looked whiter. I suppose you could use this for covering up yellowed nails.
What I noticed today is the design of the bottles too. They're actually quite finely detailed compared to other polishes out there.

The Body Shop HIV Pin

I got this pin yesterday when I went over there just to browse around.
Join The Body Shop's crusade in stopping HIV.

 It's only RM5.

Make a positive impact on humanity by getting one of these if you haven't done a good deed for the day.

L'oreal Make Up Remover

Elixir Concentrate Ultra Make-Up Remover
This is a super rich and creamy textured make up dissolver which completely removes all traces of make up effortlessly. It has a pleasent smell too.

100 ml.   About RM30

It turns into a milk like fluid when mixed with water. This can be used either as a over-all face wash or with a cotton pad.
The end result is the same. You'll feel like your skin has been pampered.

Tips & Tricks

mAkE uP
Sharing make up may be fun but it's also unhygienic. If you must share any make up then make sure you disinfect before using them (don't forget the brushes too) . Check out this video, by the famous Julia (MissChievous), for disinfecting make up.

Click "Contouring, Blushing & Highlighting" to learn what goes where.

 Mascara
Bin your mascara after 3 months. Don't use it when it's dry or you will have clumpy lashes or risk getting an eye infection!

Make Up Brushes
Try cleaning  them after each use and disinfect them once in a while.

  Lips
Want a subtle touch of colour on your lips? Use some lip balm on before getting a tiny bit of red or even whatever bright coloured lipstick you have onto the tip of your finger and swipe that one. Keeps your lips moisturised and looking pretty.

It's not just your skin that can get burnt so make sure you use a lip balm with spf when you go out into the sun. If you don't have one then just dab your spf lotion on your lips.

Always go for a red lipstick with a blue undertone to diminish yellow looking teeth.

nAiLs
When buying nail polish remover, opt for one without acetone.

You don't have to clip your nail down if it's split. Fix a split nail with a teabag instead!

hAiR
If your hair is looking or feeling greasy use a dry shampoo or dust loose powder and comb your hair through.

oThEr
Use baking soda to whiten teeth instead of bleaching them because bleaching your teeth only makes it weaker.

Body scrubs you usually buy may be very expensive or full of chemicals in them. If this is the case, then why not do you're very own homemade body scrub

Got tips or tricks to share?

Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara

This is, by far, the second best mascara I've ever used and loved. It coats every single one of your lashes no matter what sort of lashes you have without clumping. It lengthens and volumizes within the first coat.
The one I use is "Curly Black" non-waterproof ( as in the picture below) as I have naturally black lashes. Taking it off is just as easy as putting it on.

 About RM30
The brush of the wand is exactly as seen in the picture above.

Unfortunately I don't think this can be found in the drugstores in the UK as I've tried looking for this while I was over there.
If you find fake lashes cumbersome to put on or simply don't have the time then I definitely recommend you use this for quick and easy ultra luscious lashes. The more coats you apply, the more dramatic your eyes look.

MAC Eyeshadow Palette

This palette is abosolutely gorgeous and I thought I'd share it with all of you.

The outside: I just love how the outside looks. That's what attracted me to it the most. I thought it would make a good touch up mirror to have once the eyeshadows are gone. The diamentes are encased in so there's no need to worry about them coming out.

The inside: These 9 shimmery colours are highly pigmented as all MAC eyehadows usually are. The colours are (starting with the top most tier)  grey, light brown, bronze, white, silver, dark brown, gold, beige and blue.

Etude House Eyebrow / Eyeshadow Brush

Every needs a good brush to create that perfect and defined eyebrows. It's not easy to find a thin, slanting brush for creating eye looks that require a brush like that.

This brush from Etude House does both.
I got this for about RM12 + 10% off.

It's a really good brush and does the job. I'm sure it can also be used as an eyeliner brush but I haven't tried that out yet. I have some other brushes for that.

Germs On Your Make Up - GONE!

Swapping and sharing make up can be fine but only, and if only you kill the germs on them first. It is very important to make sure you sterilize the make up you use especially if you use your make up on other people and vice versa.

This is a good video I found by MissChievous on how to clean your possibly contaminated make up.

I always find it useful to have a spritzer bottle filled with diluted Dettol around to spray your make up bags or even make up brushes once you're done using them as I'm sure not everyone is diligent or has the time to wash they're make up brushes after each use. I also spritz some, once in a blue moon and from a reasonable distance, on my make up. Make sure you spray it from a good distance. You don't want your powders turning moist.

Try not to use testers you find on make up counters as they carry countless amount of germs from previous testers.

Dior Eyeshadow Palette

This is the Dior palette I got about two weeks ago. I couldn't resist getting it since it was quite pretty.

 The Exterior and Interior Respectively.

The eyeshadow colours: black, brown, gold and white
Blushes: bright pink, light pink

The eyeshadows are all natural colours and easy to blend. This palette is perfect for a smokey eyes look or even for a simple day time look.
The blush compartment is a push-out drawer at the bottom tier of the palette. The colours are a bit too bright for my skin tone or liking or I just like to use a bit and blend them in on my cheeks to give a subtle hint of colour.
Very convinient having all this in one palette.

Have you or do you use Dior eyeshadows and blushes? What do you think of them?

SODA Bling

I was just going through my accesories the other day and found some worth sharing. These are both from SODA. They are quite exquisite designs. SODA makes some good accesories although some may be more delicate (like the ones I have) than others. You may find some good pieces of accesories to wear without getting a rash if you are allergic to imitation jewelery or accesories like me.

Above: This one was about RM50

Don't forget to take your SODA membership card along for an additional discount!

Etude House Nail Polish

This is from the Lucid Darling Collection

At first glance, the colour looks hot pink but when you apply it on your nails, it is actually fuschia. When you look closely at the bottle, you can see tiny bits of shimmery particles in the polish. When you apply it on your nails, it is not so visible. This is just to give that shimmery effect on your nails.

MAC Eyeshadow Palette

My sister got me this a while ago and it is a stunning piece to have. This palette has 16 colours which are more on the neutral side.

The outside of the palette has two images on them. The image changes as you move it around. Not really sure what this concept is called.

 Exterior of the Palette
 Gorgeous isn't it?

The interior is really neat too. It comes with a foldable mirror and MAC eyeshadow brush. Some shadows are either glittery, shimmery or matte. I like the matte one's most.

The Interior
Dainty, right?

MAC makes incredible eyeshadows. It is so easy to put on and blend around.
Always dust a little loose powder underneath your eyes before putting any highly pigmented or glittery eyeshadow so that any fall out can be easily brushed off.

Thank you sis! I love it!
What do you guys think about MAC eyeshadows?

Love Your MAC, Dolls!

❤ Vaseline -Magic In A Tub ❤

Legendary Marilyn Monroe was a devoted fan of Vaseline. She used to use it on her face at night to keep that beautiful complexion of hers.

Vaseline can be used for chapped lips or as a lips exfoliator as Tyra Banks does.
Vaseline the Lip Exfoliator
Use an old toothbrush that is wet. Dab Vaseline on your lips Use the toothbrush and gently brush the surface of your lips for about two minutes. Use a tissue and wipe off excess Vaseline and dead skin from your lips and put some lip balm on.
Taa-Daa! You now have smooth, sexy lips.

Use Vaseline on your eyebrows if you want to grow them out. It can be used on your eyelashes to make them grow too.

Use it as a cuticle softener

It can be used on teeth in preventing stains from lipsticks getting on teeth.

Parachute Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil has been used for decades for many purposes. Ever noticed how Indian women have lengthy but really healthy looking hair minus the split ends or dryness? It must be because of the coconut oil they use. I have always been a fan of coconut oil. It is something my grandmother taught me as her mother did to her. My grandmother is 78 this year and has almost a full head of black hair.  The one I'm using at the moment is this one...

 Parachute Coconut Oil

This coconut oil is a 100% organic and edible, manufactured in India and has that natural coconut like smell without being too overwhelming. Personally, I think the smell is lovely. This is not an expensive hair treatment. It is really affordable and it really works.

How I Use This?

As A Deep Conditioning and Intensive Treatment.
I sometimes take a little (depending on the length of your hair) and put it in the microwave for a few seconds (not too long!)until it is slightly warm and put it on my hair covering it thoroughly and massage my scalp with it (put some gloves on if you do not like your hands getting greasy but it really does not matter since it will wash right off your hands with soap).

Then I wrap my hair up with a wet towel to secure the heat and moisture in ( you can use a shower cap too). I would probably leave this on for as long as I can since the longer you leave it in , the more moisture your hair is going to take in. (You can even leave it on overnight!)

When you are ready to wash it off, go for it! Sometimes you may find that you have to wash your hair twice to get it all out but I would only wash my hair once with shampoo because I still want a bit of moisture in my hair.

If you do not have the time to do this then simply get some out of the bottle onto your hands and massage it into your scalp and hair, leave it as long as you desire and wash it off.

Revlon Lipstick

This is probably one of my favourite lip colours. It's suitable for almost any complexion. The colour is romantic and subtle. I use a light coating of lip balm and then dab the colour on my lips rather than swiping it on. My lips feel more moisturized this way and although it is a matte lipstick, there are no unwanted signs of chapped or unhealthy lips.

This is Revlon's Matte Mauve It Over 003. I did not use a lipliner underneath but the results were still really good.

This picture was taken with natural lighting

This is what the colour looks like on my inner wrist
(with natural light)

It can be worn during the day or at night teaming it with dramatic eyes.
Have you or do you use Revlon Lipsticks? If so, how do you like them? Which ones are your favourites?

O.P.I Nail Polish

O.P.I stands for Ondotorium Products Inc. just in case you did not know. O.P.I is manufactured by the professional  nail product enterprise founded in 1981.
Why O.P.I? Each and every single bottle produced is of the highest standard since there is a team of scientists to verify the product before sale. You don't have to worry about the consistency of your O.P.I polishes as it lasts for quite a while. There is a massive range of colours to choose from. They keep bringing out different collections with the most witty names for some polishes so it will be good to keep an eye on those. The only downside of it all is that it can be a bit pricey.

Red My Fortune Cookie

The brush from which the bottle came with was a prowide brush which was basically flat and quite wide making nail polish application neat and quite easy as i have a larger nail surface.I just wanted to test and see how long my nail polish lasted. The result: it lasted 4/5 days before the polish started chipping. That's a long time! i did use a base coat and top coat. Always a must!

You won't know until you try so go test one out yourself and put it to the test. I promise you won't regret it.

Luscious claws and paws guaranteed.

O.P.I Mini Nail Polishes

These O.P.I cuties are perfect for those who get bored of wearing the same nail colours, travelling or getting them just because they are in a adorable miniature size. These are 3.75 ml/ 1/8 F Oz. and can fit in your purse when you need to touch up your claws and paws. If you have never tried out O.P.I nail polishes, I recommend that you do. You will love them! If you are skeptical about buying O.P.I polishes then you may want to try these out first.

Click on the image below to get a better picture with the list of the nail polishes shown.

Which is your favourite?

I have some of these on sale which are on The Luscious Facebook page. You can find the button on the right hand side of this page.
