New Sephora Outlet

Hi, Beauties!
Guess what? There's a new Sephora outlet that just opened yesterday at Nu Sentral ( The building right next to KL Sentral ). Of course I had to go check out the hype.

It was packed. It was a bit hard getting a Sephora representative to myself so I could get some info on the products I picked.

You will find all the usual Sephora brands like Laura Mercier, Murad, Soap & Glory, Make Up Forever, Benfit, Bare Escentuals,Clinique, Dior, Biotherm, Nyx, Shu Eumura, SK II, Estee Lauder, Smashbox, Percy & Reed, Josie Maran, Ciate, Butter, O.P.I, Tarte, Fresh, Givenchy, Sephora and more.

I was one of the lucky one's to receive a MYR 50 voucher and I received another MYR 100 since I made purchases above MYR 250.

Sephora made a real effort to put this store out there to attract customers. I have to say they made a good choice with the location.

Check out the pictures I took for you!

This is what you'll see right from outside the store.

The nail studio is just as big as the one at Bukit Bintang.
For Fresh fans.
My MYR 50 voucher
Hair care lovers will absolutely love the choice of products to choose from.
The men seemed to have a good time at the men's section.

Have you checked out their stores yet? It's about time you do.

Make Up Forever Professional Eye Shadow

This is by far one of the best brown eyeshadows I have ever bought.

I got the brown shade which is number 17.
You can use your fingers or brush with this eyeshadow as the texture is smooth and it's easily blendable.

                            Made in France.
2.5g  I got mine from Sephora.

This eyeshadow is perfect to use during the day, especially for a smokey eye.
I haven't tried the other shades but I don't think I would but this in another shade. I will just continue hunting for a matte brown shade which is pocket-friendly and doesn't contain parabens.

The only two things I didn't like about this product is that it contains parabens and it should've come with a mini-mirror.

Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray

I cannot say how much I love this product.
The first time I used this was on a long, hot night out and my makeup stayed put throughtout the whole night which is how I got hooked on this. I only had to touch up once throughout the entire night believe it or not.
It prevents your makeup from sliding/melting/fading and smudging due to different factors such as skin type, temperature, etc.
All you need to do is spray this on your face in an "X" and " Y " formation after you've applied your make up.

30 ml / 1.0 US fl oz.
Oil-Control
Paraben Free
Temperature Control Technology
Made in USA
I got mine from Sephora.

I love the packaging as well. The amount of liquid that comes out within a single pump is perfect. No mess and no fuss.
One bottle will last you a long time so you know you are getting a high quality product for a reasonable price.
I know this packaging looks different from the usual make up setting spray and I am not sure if they're both just as good but you have to get this if you want your make up to stay looking perfect all night as when you first applied it on.

I am a fan of this and highly recommend this product.

Sephora Lipsticks

I lost my Bobbi Brown lipstick. :(

I had been out of good nude lipsticks so I decided to go to Sephora to see if there were any good nude lippies I could get. I got two in fact. The colours look pretty similar but I coulnd't choose between the two so I took both.

No 1 - Sephora Rouge Shine - Honeymoon
MYR 45.00
Made in France.

I would recommend to exfoliate your lips before using this lipstick as your chapped lips will show quite clearly if you fail to exfoliate and moisturize before application. I also find that using this lipstick will need touch ups to be done quite often.

No4 - Color Lip Last - Brown
MYR 45
Made in Switzerland.

This is a heavy duty lipstick so it will stay on your lips for a long time without having to touch up often.
You will need a good lip remover to get all the lipstick off.
This lipstick is matte but you can add gloss if you like.

I'm quite suprised to see Sephora offering high quality lipsticks but at affordable prices. It's a shame that there's no indication of ingredients found in the lipsticks.

Taking It Off with Sephora

I don't know about you but when I take it off, I like to take it completely off with minimal time involved. I'm talking about taking all that slap off your face.
I recently got these from Sephora and I think they're pretty nifty products!

This cloth is so smooth and if your up to having a thorough face clean then use this! I got it for about MYR 25.00. It comes in a cute pouch so when you're done with it, you can simply put it back in so you keep germs and bacteria from getting on it.

For lazy days, you can use Sephora's Triple Action Cleansing Water

I got this for around MYR 20.00.
50 ml / 1.69 fl.oz
Dermatologically tested
Contains HydroSenn++
Made in France

No alcohol or parabens in this product!
You can use this on your face and eyes.
I love the results it gave.

It gives a cooling effect on your skin and the best part, It removes make up in one swipe without washing / further cleancing which is perfect for those nights when you are too tired to take your make-up off.
I will definitely be buying this again.

Before and After Shots Using the Triple Action Cleansing Water :

This is a swipe of my red lipstick which is highly pigmented and does not easily come off...

Look what happens after one swipe!

I like the clean tingly feeling the cleansing water gives.

I highly recommend both these two products.

Urban Decay Naked Pallette

I went to Sephora yesterday and finally got my hands on the Urban Decay "Naked" Pallette. I'm going to tell you as much as I can about this eyeshadow pallette.

I didn't get what all the fuss was about until I got my hands on one myself.

Colours Available ( in following order from the pallette ) :

Virgin

Sin

Naked

Sidecar

Buck

Half Baked

Smog

Darkhorse

Toasted

Hustle

Creep

Gunmetal

The shades vary from mattes to sateen to shimmer.
Each pallette is abut 1.3g. It's highly pigmented.
Made in USA, assembled in Dominican Republic.

Additional Perks :

Mirror

Brush

This brush is called Good Karma Shadow Brush, made in China.
The brush seems pretty sturdy. The bristles are really soft. I suppose you can use it both for patting on and blending.

Eyelid Primer
3.7ml / 0.13 US fl.oz., made in USA

Swatch of Colours ( in following order of the colour sequence ):

You can get this at Sephora for MYR 179.00.
It's definitely a good buy when you think of it. Since all the shades are on the neutral side, this means you are going to use this quite a lot so I doubt there will be any wastage. This is all you will need to pack when you are going away and there's never a time where you can't use neutral shades.

I haven't started using this but I have no doubts that this is a high quality product. They really did think of everything from the packaging to the additional perks to the pigmentation of the eyeshadows.

Also, Urban Decay does not do animal testing.

Downside of the eyeshadows is that it contains parabens.

If I manage to look after the packaging properly until I've used all the shadows, I'll probably use it as a lipgloss pallette. The packaging is too pretty to throw away.

Lippies Mania

I went a bit crazy on lippies this October. I got myself 5 lippies! I posted pictures too to show you what they would look like on tanned skin tones.

1. mik@vonk - pk122, Hot Pink
2. The Body Shop - 06
3. Maybeline - 630, Rubylicious
4. Bobbi Brown - 33, Uber Nude
5. Anna Andre - 04
6. Clinique - 08 graped-up

1. mik@vonk

From Shins
Made in Korea
I don't remember exactly how much it cost but it was at a very reasonable price.
The texture is really amazing. It's creamy and smooth. Bear in mind that for darker skin tones, the colour turns out to look more fuschia than hot pink. A lipliner is a must if you want the colour to turn out hot pink instead of fuschia. Lipgloss is optional.

2. The Body Shop - 06

Lipsticks at The Body Shop are always at a reasonable price. This one I got cost MYR 45.00. The colour is pretty similar to Bobbi Brown's lipstick. I would use a lipliner prior to using this to make the colour pop more. This lippie is a little on the dry side so you might want to use some lip gloss or balm once you put it on.

3. Maybeline - 630, Rubylicious

I got this one from Watsons. It was MYR 40.00. I love the colour. It would suit tanned skin tones very well. The texture and pigmentation is incredible. It slides on so well even without using any foundation / concealor / lipliner prior to application. No lipgloss needed! Remember that the colour is not red, its true Ruby. It's packaged in such a way with the idea of "Jewels" in mind. A very clever thing to do indeed.

4. Bobbi Brown - 33, Uber Nude

♥ MYR 85.00
This has to be my favourite lippie of the lot! It's a new colour just in. The moisturizing effect it has on your lips is pretty good. Lipgloss is optional. To pop the nude colour more, it's best to team this lippie with a nude lipliner. The packaging is simple, sexy and sleek.

Bobbi Brown registers the products you buy from them in their system so you can always go to them to see if they have your favourite item in stock or even to help you re-call whatever product which you don't remember the name / code. This is definitely a good concept seeing as how ( I don't know about you guys but ) I tend to carry the products which I'm running low on around or writing it down. They definitely do keep their customers in mind! I will definitely be going back to get this colour once I've run out.

5. Anna Andre - 04

I got this lippie as a gift from India. I wasn't too taken with it at first since I've never heard of it before but when I tried it on, it was a whole different story. It's highliy pigmented and very moisturizing. The colour of it is also very unique.  It's sort of a mixture between red, pale pink and a hint of peach. It may not last very long on your lips but it will defintiely be fun to re-apply this over and over.
This lippie may not be under the high end brands but it comes to show that great lippies can be bought from the not so high end brands!

6. Clinique - 08 graped-up

♥   MYR 60.00
I got this from Sephora when I went there with my friend about a week or so ago. ( She's probably reading this ). It's not highly pigmented and I don't find it that moisturizing. For the pay you pay, you get quite a bit out of this product so it's quite worth it although it seems a but pricey. The packaging looks like a pen but twists like a lipstick. It's a pretty nice colour to wear for those with either pale or tanned skin. I doubt I will be buying this again.

Which one if your favourite?
