Pencil Eyeliner Vs. Gel Eyeliner

There are so many eyeliners out there that claims to give you this gorgeous look, long lasting, etc.

Do you go for a gel eyeliner or pencil eyeliner?

Whats the difference between a pencil eyeliner and gel eyeliner?

Pencil Eyeliner
Generally, pencil eyeliners can be used on the rims of the eyes.
You can opt to use a smudger brush to create a buildable smokey look instead of using powder.
Pencil  eyeliners are easier to clean up than gel eyeliners.
Life span of pencil eyeliners are 2-3 years with regular sharpening.

Gel Eyeliner
Gel Eyeliners give you a very intense and dramatic look. Like the pencil liner, it won't necessarily stay put unless you use a good eyelid primer beforehand.
Smokey eyes can be created using gel eyeliners. It takes a lot of blending but you will definitely have that intense smokey eyes.
Some gel liners should not be used on the inner rims of the eyes as it can cause irritation.
Life span of gel eyeliners are 6-12 months.
You can try "re-viving" your gel eyeliners if they dry out but I am against it as it can cause eye infection and if it does dry out, that means it's old and it's just time for you to get another.

Tip :-
Do not leave your pot of gel eyeliner opened during application. Tip it upside down on a clean surface to avoid it drying out and to avoid bacteria from getting to it.
