New Make Up Look

This is something different compared to the neutral tones I usually stick with...
I'm sure you've, at some point, seen youtube videos where the make up artists use high end brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown and so forth to look all dolled up. I'm not saying that they aren't good. Some people just can't afford it (like students) or are frugal ( like me..most of the time). This is just to let you know that it isn't necessary to use make up from high end brands to look good when you can still look gorgeous without digging deep into your pocket.

What I used to achieve this look:
Eyes:

 Lips:

Face:
You can click on the images to make them appear bigger.
I've done reviews on some of these products and will be doing reviews for the ones that I haven't. You can find the reviews from the labels on the sidebar.

This is the overall very barbie like look.
(I apologise for the resolution. It's a work in progress)

This is a close up of the eyes. You are meant to be looking at dark purple on the outer side progressing towards hot pink and pale pink inwards. (I'm not wearing fake lashes)
I did use quite a few different products for the eyes and if you've paid attention, the products I used aren't that expensive and can help you achieve this look as seen in the above picture and yes, with a primer, your eye make up may last longer.

Happy Experimenting!

O.P.I Matched Luggage

It's handy to have a few neutral shades to switch and use for an everyday, fresh, glossy nails.
This is another neutral colour from O.P.I that I have just recently picked up. Like every other O.P.I nail polish, this one is just as incredible as the others. The colour, as well as the quality.

                                     Without flash                  With Flash

I used just one coat of this polish on my nails as seen in this picture.

Scinic Aqua Ex

Another gift I got from someone. These are Korean made. Although I got these as a gift, I did do a little research on these.
 From the Left:
Skin Toner (130ml, around RM 70.00) & Essence(50ml)

After cleansing the face, the skin toner is simply to be spritzed onto the skin until dry and then the Essence (which is basically a moisturiser) is to be applied onto the skin.
The moisturiser is really rich and so only a very little amount is needed. I've used this only once to test it out and let you know what it's like. You canimmediately feel that your skin has been moisturised after using these by looking and feeling the texture of the skin. From what I've found out and tried, these are pretty good products. I tried to find the exact ingredients used in these products but the official SCINIC website is in Korean.

The bottles are amazingly gorgeous. They are made of glass and can be used again.

If you want to know more, you can check these out at Sasa or visit their website by clicking the link below

Red Hot Lips with Rimmel

Some girls out there may find it hard to rock blood red lips. It's hard to find the right shade of red for your skin tone. Some are just afraid of getting red lipstick where it shouldn't be..like your teeth. I love wearing my lips red and do so from time to time but it can be sort of tricky.
This is my red lips...
Took this picture with natural lighting. I apologize for the not-so-clear picture.

I've never really tried out any of Rimmel's products until I saw these. I just had to try them out.

What I used to get these lips:
Rimmel's Exagerate Full Colour Lip Liner Definer in 024 - Red Diva (from Asda)
Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in 500 - Diva Red (from Asda)
Rimmel's Shock Gloss Amped in 208 Amped (from Asda)

( I will do reviews of these products one by one soon)

They treat your lips well. They don't slide off, don't dry your lips, etc.

These are so easy to use. I'm sure there are many videos you can find on Youtube on how to wear red lipstick.

What I did was:
Line the outer part of my lips first then fill them in.
Use one coat of lipstick and take the excess off with a tissue paper and apply one more coat.
I used the lipgloss at the end. This is optional. You can go without the lipgloss if you wish.

Would you believe I got these all from ASDA for a remarkably amazing price and they are SO good! The lip liner can be used just by itself. I would definitely get these again.
I highly recommend these as I personally think they are the perfect shade of red for those with fair and tanned skin tones. Besides that, you can't beat the price.

Tip: Exfoliate your lips before doing this to avoid getting flaky lips.

Rock your lips dolls!!

Nails n' Things Bag

I thought I'd share this with you guys as there are people out there like me who have too many nail polishes and other things for they're nails and cuticles and need some ideas on how to store them.

I turned my hot pink make up bag as a "nails n' things bag".

I got this cute hot pink make up bag for only RM10 and put all my nail polishes, nail filers, etc in them.
It looks pretty neat now. I may bling it up later on when I have the time.
We'll go into the nail polishes and things another time.

Scrunchies

Every girl needs some! I just got some today from VISS.

The first picture (on the left) - These were RM 5.90 for 10 bands.

It keeps hair in place and it doesn't snap like the ones with the metal bands on them.

The second and third picture (below) - The velvet ones were RM4.50 each.
Velvet ones, I suppose are more gentle to the hair.
Yes, I got two, one in black and the other in white. Lucky for me, the black was the last one that was there!

They do cost a little more but they're nothing like your average scrunchies where you pay less and don't get to use them for as long as you possibly can.

Cheap doesn't always mean that it's good.

VISS has other accesories too (sunnies, bags, hair clips, etc.) as well as some pretty good deals on shoes

Have a good week ahead everyone!

Shwarzkopf Flatliner

I thought I'd do a quick review on this product before I bin it. If you're looking to get a perfectly pin straight, shiny, sleek do, then this is exactly what you need. It's perfect to use with a hair straightener.
It's called the Osis + Flatliner Form from Scwarzkopf
It keeps hair in place in cold or humid weather. It keep frizziness away.It also protects your hair from heat damage ( up to 200 degrees Celcius..that's really hot! ) What I really like about this product is that it does what it says.
I would show you what my hair looks like after using it but unfortunately I'm all out and so I'm not able to but definitely will if I get hold of this product again. It's quite a good product.

They have 3 levels of strength. The one I got is "3 - Strong Hold"

RM 58.00

200ml / 195 g

Made in Germany

You simply spritz this on the ends of your hair evenly after you've towel dried you're hair, blow dry first and then use a hair straightener to achieve you're straight and sleek do.

I'm going to miss it. It has served me well.

You may get a discount if you get this from the K-Care store.

The Body Shop Hand & Nail Creams

It's important to always keep hands moisturised. Your hands look 10 years older than the rest of you since it's always exposed to water, detergents, etc. on a daily basis. Besides that, if you want gorgeous nails, you have to look after them (including the cuticles).

These are two hand&nails moisturisers I got from The Body Shop.
From Left to Right:
Moroccan Rose Hand & Nail Cream

Key Ingredients
 Community trade shea butter
 Organic babassu oil

 RM39.00 (75ml / 2.5 fl. oz.)

Almond Oil Daily Hand &Nail Cream

Key Ingredients
 Sweet almond oil
 Community fair trade shea butter
 Community trade honey
 Community trade soya oil
 Community trade soya oil
 Community trade brazil nut oil

  RM 39.00 /£5.00 (100 ml / 3.4 fl. oz.)

They're both made in the UK. They both smell divine and are easily absorbed into the skin. You're hands and nails will love these. Of the two, I prefer the Almond Oil Moisturiser. Although I prefer it, it doesn't make it better than the Moroccan Rose as it has parabens in it unlike the Morrocan Rose Moisturiser.

You can check out they're website for further information or to check out other products.

New Shoes!

It's no secret that I love shoes and I got myself these two pairs today.

Shoe City was having a promotion. Two pairs of shoes for RM80.

These were around RM60. They're snake skin like but with a matte finish.

These are perfect for summer and they're really pretty and super comfortable. These were originally around RM60

They have even more shoes to choose from.

The Body Shop Body Butters

I got these from The Body Shop a while ago for both myself and my grandmother. It's a real treat for your skin.
 £12.50 / RM 55.00 each
200 ml / 6.9 oz / 197 g

Strawberry Body Butter's Key Ingredients:
Strawberry seed oil
Community Fair Trade shea butter
Community Fair Trade cocoa butter

Olive Body Butter's Key Ingredients:
Community Fair Trade organic olive oil
Community Fair Trade shea butter
Community Fair Trade cocoa butter

The Strawberry Body Butter smells absolutely delicious!
The Olive Body Butter is just divine!
What I really like about these are how easily it gets absorbed into my skin. Best of all, it won't leave your skin greasy although they all have buttery textures.

I'd say for the price, these are pretty good.
I would definitely buy these again.

Keep moisturised!

Midori Hair Products

From Left to Right:

 Miracle Moisture Daily Mask

Ultimate Hair Repair Essence

Ultimate Repair Capsules

Miracle Moisture Daily Mask

RM48 for 300 ml

Key Ingredients:
Vitamin E, Wheat Protein

This is quite a good conditioner. What I like about this product is that it said it protects hair from ultraviolet rays and pollutants.

Ultimate Hair Repair Essence

RM15 for 15 ml

What it's supposed to do:
Strengthens hair from external agression and works as an intensive hair repairing treatment.

Ingredients:
Moisture Agent, Lanolin, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Amino Acid Complex

When I use it, I feel like my hair's smoother and that it's been filled in as I have fine hair and my hair doesn't feel all that light after using this.

I love this product. I highly recommend it to everyone out there.

Ultimate Repair Capsules

I think I got it for around RM 30 for around 30 capsules

What it's supposed to do:
It's supposed to get rid of split ends, improve hair strength, restores and repairs critically damaged hair, gets rid of friziness, etc.

Ingredients:
Polydimethyisiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone & Fragrance

This product is formulated in Japan.

Use this after washing hair, while hair is damp. The capsules are quite big and I'd say a capsule can be used around 3 or more times since only a very tiny amount is needed. I  recomend using this product only at the ends of the hair. You use this as you would use any hair serum.

Samantha Pulman - I Love You... R.I.P

This girl was everything you'de want in a best friend.
She was truly an amazing person and has shed some light when I felt like I was in the dark.

She'd make you laugh 'till you tear up, she'd listen to you..and she always had plenty to share...

She'd always tells me of whatever she gets her hands on...be it shoes, make up, hair products, etc..
She had amazing taste in make up, nail polish and always had crazy hair

Her eccentricity is what I loved most...

Although we were oceans away, we always made an effort to keep in touch, to check in and see on what's been happening...

We gossiped..we shared...we kept secrets..we laughed..we did everything...
She fought till the very end and lived everyday like it was her last.

To sum it all up, she was just beautiful inside and out.

Words cannot express how much you will be missed darling...
Samantha...I'll always love you and never forget you. You will always be in my heart, doll! I feel truly blessed to have known you.
